The Johns Hopkins Alliance for a Healthier World

Join us in advancing global health equity — good health and wellbeing for all

The Johns Hopkins Alliance for a Healthier World (formerly the Global Health Initiative) brings together experts from medicine, nursing, public health, international relations, engineering, education, business, policy, bioethics, the natural and social sciences, and the arts and humanities. Working side by side with partners and disadvantaged communities around the world, they seek to improve health equity in low- and middle-income countries, generating new knowledge, and applying it to engage policy makers and implement solutions.

Work is focused on four themes:

  • Food Nutrition and Security
  • Healthy Environments
  • Gender Equity and Justice
  • Transformative Technologies and Institutions

The Alliance sponsors events that unite faculty, staff, and students across the university, funds grants for multidisciplinary work, and provides mentorship, strategic communication, and fundraising support for project teams. Please join us in this important work.
