Today's urgent water-related problems include threats to public health, the environment, regional and national economies, and political stability. Johns Hopkins experts in public health, medicine, nursing, bioethics, engineering, economic development, and public policy are working to transform and save lives and educate the next generation of water experts.

Rising to the Challenge: The Campaign for Johns Hopkins is an effort to raise $4.5 billion, primarily to support students, faculty, and research and interdisciplinary solutions to sine if humanity's most important problems. The campaign, supporting both Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Medicine, was publicly launched in May 2013 and is targeted for completion in 2017.
